Kulturhavna – An Identity Shaped by People
Kulturhavna – An Identity Shaped by People
Kulturhavna is a participatory urban development project in Ålesund, Norway, where the community directly shapes both the space and its identity through a digital participation tool. Instead of a fixed logo, a dynamic system based on the letter “K” was created, allowing residents to submit ideas via the platform. Each contribution generates a unique logo variation, reflecting the evolving nature of the space. With over 1.9 million possible combinations, Kulturhavna’s identity remains fluid, adapting to public input and ensuring a continuously evolving, community-driven design.
