There were many songs about walking to choose from for Johnnie Walker’s global campaign, Keep Walking, but three iconic tunes stood out: Aerosmith’s Walk This Way featuring Run DMC, Lou Reed’s Walk on the Wild Side, and Loretta Lynn’s These Boots Are Made for Walkin’. The songs were then remixed into a mash-up, giving space for each one to shine within a tight 60-second spot. Lyrical themes and recognisable hooks became an important focus in the city takeovers across the world.
