Independent Journalism For An Independent Life
Independent Journalism For An Independent Life
The campaign Independent Journalism for an Independent Life showed how what you read can inspire who you are. The films painted a portrait of a New York Times reader through headlines, using journalistic imagery, typographic sound design, and footage that fills the screen with life. The stories weaved together readers’ interests and their reading history into a rhythmic prose supported by the voices of the readers themselves, which brought viewers into their worlds. Just like their lives, the films were dense with layers, meaning and idiosyncrasies, revealing the breadth of the journalism published by the New York Times and how it impacts the lives of its readers.
