Hunting

The aim was to stimulate people to go on the Greenpeace website and pressure the Polish government into joining the IWC organisation. To make people interested in the whaling problem, we came up with the idea of showing a link between all living creatures. We asked animators to create a world out of wool, to make that link a literal thread. Animators made a series of knitted mock-ups that were ripped off during filming; we shot the action frame by frame to show that killing one species leads to environmental imbalance which affects other species, including humans. The result was 20,000 letters of protest to the government via the Greenpeace website.
