Corazón – Give Your Heart

115,000 Americans are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. Although 98% support organ donation, only 1 in 5 New Yorkers is a donor. We wanted more young people to register as donors. “Corazón—Give Your Heart” is a 48-minute film that premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, and also an interactive experience. It tells the emotional true story of Elena Ramirez, a sex worker whose heart is dying. Viewers were prompted to hold their phones to their hearts, which detected their heartbeats, then register as donors in just 15 seconds. Results: thousands of new donors, saving thousands of lives.
