To launch Clash of Clans' new meteor-themed season, “The Clashteroid” made a real asteroid that vanished decades ago into an in-game threat: asteroid 2007 FT3. We partnered with a director to create a film revealing the truth: internet-beloved science influencer Hank Green had sent the asteroid to the world of Clash back in 2007, dooming the virtual world to save Earth. And now, it was hurtling towards players’ villages in-game. By giving Clash of Clans’ new season blockbuster treatment, “The Clashteroid” became one of the games’ most entertaining launches to date.
