Civil Rights Captcha

CAPTCHAs are used daily around the web to protect websites from spam, making users decipher letters that spam robots can’t read. But what really separates us from robots is empathy, which is also the foundation for promoting civil rights. To prove this, Civil Rights Defenders developed a CAPTCHA based on empathy. Instead of visually interpreting words the user has to take a stand on a current human rights case, before being able to comment. The CAPTCHA is available to download and implement through an open source wiki. The project sparked a global debate involving over 700 million people.
