Certified Care

In Rwanda malaria ravages communities and women have been unofficial caregivers for those suffering from malaria for generations without any compensation. While serving as caregivers for the sick, women also experience harsh socioeconomic consequences. For women in Rwanda, this caregiving role becomes an unofficial/unpaid job, removing them from school, work, and inevitably – the economy. Certified Care is an ongoing program designed to supplement the knowledge and skills women already have with practical medical training and official accreditation to become Community Healthcare Workers.
