Augmented Craft Pavilion
Augmented Craft Pavilion
Augmented Craft Pavilion is a steam-bent rattan structure created as the Info Point for Bangkok Design Week 2026. It combines locally sourced material, vernacular craftsmanship, and Mixed Reality-assisted fabrication to create a lightweight yet structurally expressive public pavilion. Using head-mounted Mixed Reality headsets, fabricators followed holographic guides during bending and on-site assembly to shape and align members with precision. A robotically 3D-printed concrete base anchors the structure beneath a translucent membrane roof.
