A Seat at the Table
Women’s Day in South Africa celebrates the strength and progress of the nation’s women, but recently that meaning has diminished. Allan Gray wanted to reframe the narrative and mark the day in a way that celebrated the potential each seat holds. Enter, A Seat at The Table: an interactive exhibition where guests were immersed into the lives of pioneering women through the diverse seats they once occupied. Through a gallery-style display, blended with binaural audio experiences, we inspired women to not only claim a seat at the table, but to be empowered to take any seat, at any table.
