Since 2014, 30,411 refugees have drowned in the Mediterranean, a tragedy largely ignored as Europe tightens border policies, leaving aid to private groups like Sea-Eye. To reignite public debate and make this immense loss tangible, we established a special memorial room at Munich's Gasteig. There, each lost life was honored with an individual minute of silence, totaling 30,411 minutes – 21 days. Every minute featured a unique, real-time AI-generated video linked to personal victim data. These 30,411 one-minute videos were streamed live online, reaching audiences locally and across Germany.
