Alu Alu by Cancelled Plans

Alu Alu is a textile material developed by Cancelled Plans using post-consumer pharmaceutical blister-pack waste. Originally designed to protect medicines, this aluminium-based laminate is typically discarded after use. We recover and transform this waste into a durable, workable textile; exploring its behaviour through weaving, structure, and surface development. The material has been applied across functional products and spatial installations, and continues to evolve through ongoing experimentation, including new weave explorations and colour processes.
