In rural Tunisia, women face a healthcare reality shaped by isolation. Medical access is 7x lower than in the capital, while breast cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths. Yet 92% of rural women don’t know the risk factors or how to self-examine. LumpDolls turns design into education. Carrefour reimagined the traditional Sejnane doll, a UNESCO-recognized symbol of survival, into a tactile guide for self-checks, adding a subtle clay lump and engraved Berber symbols that intuitively show how to examine.
