“There is no future if the world’s on fire”

In a new series with the Design Your Life podcast and D&AD, author Vince Frost explores the role of creativity and design in transforming the way we live.In the first episode host Frost speaks with D&AD Chairman Tim Lindsay about the origins of the D&AD Impact Award, and the business case for work that addresses societal and environmental issues.

“There is no future if the world's on fire,” says Lindsay. “Corporations can't make profits if people are fleeing drought and bushfires and extreme weather. And so the most pro-business stance anyone can take is we have to conserve resources for future generations. Otherwise, there's no future. And I think our business, which is stuffed full of creative brilliance, realises that. And in small, medium and big ways is trying to address it.”
