The Soot Life Expectancy

The Extra Step Initiative's campaign spotlights the effect of soot on the lifespan of Nigerians, especially people who have been living in Rivers State. To bring back national attention to this crisis, X3M Ideas created a formula that calculated and issued a new, more realistic life expectancy based on time spent in Rivers State. This was done using soot data obtained from the German Environmental Protection Agency spanning 41 countries, combined with the average air quality data of Rivers State, and the official life expectancy of Nigeria.
