The Boy and a Piano

This film required us to take control of all the audio elements in order to design a captivating soundscape that takes the viewer on a reverse musical journey through Elton John's life, by using various versions of his first major hit, ‘Your Song’. By seamlessly editing these pieces together we created an intimate film in which the narrative was led by the audio. The core of the film was built around using the music as the major element of the sound design, and through exclusive access to master tapes we allowed ‘Your Song’ to be heard in ways that it had never been heard before.
