Forever

The Victoria & Albert Museum commissioned Matt Pyke to create the second winter installation in the John Madejski Garden at the museum. 'Forever' was a large moving image wall installation of endless animations responding to an ever-changing soundtrack. The bespoke generative design system at the heart of 'Forever' did, and still could, spawn different audiovisual films every day, forever. A live online installation, generating an endless series of downloadable video podcasts, coincided with the display, which opened on 21 November 2008. The project was supported by Creativesheffield and Apple.
