Puma Gondola

To announce the opening of the Puma Venezia Store, GBH Design created a Puma gondola. To make a big brand statement and capture Puma’s inimitable sense of humour and flair, the design for the gondola broke with tradition. For the first time in Venetian history, a red gondola was launched onto the Grand Canal, constructed from digitally created ‘leather’ panels in the style of a massive shoe, complete with all embroidery and stitching. Address details for the store were painted on the deck, so as to be visible from the bridges. On opening day the gondola ferried staff, VIPs and lucky shoppers to the store.
