Hiraeth

Created for the WAR CHILD Secret 7” brief, my design for ‘Jessie Ware - Beautiful People’ reimagines memory and identity through a fragmented collage of my Nana’s past. The cover distorts an image of her winning a Miss St Davids beauty pageant, exploring self-perception and love across generations. I reflected on how I never knew her then, yet I love that version of her, just as she loves the future me she will never know. Through collage, the artwork mirrors the song’s themes of beauty, nostalgia, and human connection while highlighting the deep appreciation between generations .
