For the War Child & Secret 7" brief I have created 1cm² hand-drawn animations of a selection of previous record covers and participating musicians. By having many small scale drawings moving together, I hoped to show that the event is brought to life each year by the hard work of many different people, each with an equal part to play in the auction’s success. I have used typical children’s school supplies: maths book paper, tracing paper, pencils, pens and crayons to create the looping animations, paying reference to War Child’s support of children’s learning and play. I have provided stories with and without text to allow for a greater range of uses.
