#UnExaminable managed to talk about a centuries-old traumatising issue for women in Romania: virginity testing. Although it is a violation of human rights according to the World Health Organisation, it is still legal. By drawing a parallel between high school examinations and the virginity test with an emotional and revealing video, #UnExaminable became a social movement overnight, gathering over 44,000 signatures for its petition to outlaw virginity testing. Just five days after the launch, The National Institute of Forensic Medicine (INML) stopped issuing virginity certificates on request.
