Ulysses 100 Stamp Series

An Post issued a series of special stamps to mark 100 years since the first publication of James Joyce’s Ulysses. The design features the colours and structure defined in Joyce’s Gilbert Schema, which he produced in order to help readers understand the fundamental structure of the book. These were overlaid with photographs from the historic JJ Clarke collection, owned by the National Library of Ireland, which offer a glimpse into Joyce’s Dublin at the turn of the last century.
