The Worst Soap Opera

In the Dominican Republic, 37% of women get married before turning 18. To make matters worse, the law actually allows this but a big part of the country is blind to this reality. UNICEF asked for our help to incite social change. We created a soap opera about an adult man living with an underage girl and the raw violence that followed. This ignited a conversation on social media were the viewers and the press asked to take the soap opera off air. Then, we revealed that these stories were not fiction and the conversation switched into a public cry demanding the government to change the law.
