In 2023, gun violence killed over 43,000 people, yet Congress passed no new gun laws. To pressure Congress, we created The Shotline. Using the latest innovations in AI technology, we re-created the voices of shooting victims from across the country, letting them call Congress themselves to demand reform. Anyone could visit The Shotline website to input their zip code and send these AI victims’ calls to their specific representatives. The initiative, which involved months of collaboration with victims’ families, aims to keep lawmakers accountable through relentless civic pressure.
