The Samurais Band Identity

Acclaimed rock band The Samurais needed an iconic visual identity to stand out in the live music scene. To represent this act's boundary-pushing original material, Currah & Co crafted an elongated S letterform, with a samurai sword sliced from the negative space. The striking logo has been boldly displayed as a visual shorthand across all of the band's touchpoints, creating an additional revenue stream for the group via merchandising opportunities. A simple brand toolkit was created, including logotype, colour palette, photography style, typography, print and digital collateral.
