Over the last few years, divisive topics have been creating deep rifts between people, even friends and families. While all opinions are important, they should never divide us. In The Rift, a typical apartment building is transformed into a symbol of a divided society. We see opinions clashing and tensions growing, before the simple line at the end of the film: ‘Can we talk?’. The Rift touched people across Germany, achieving 20 million views and 43,000 interactions in only a matter of days.
