The Researchers Laboratory at the Westphalian Museum for Archaeology
The Researchers Laboratory at the Westphalian Museum for Archaeology
The Researchers Laboratory at the Westphalian Museum for Archaeology is a place of exploration, discovery and experience. This new permanent exhibition explains the modern scientific methods that archaeologists use to decode the traces of the past, making them more comprehensible for the public. The space is designed to imitate a laboratory and technical resources are used to explain the work of archaeologists, with the most modern of scientific methods. Themed information stations were developed to look like scientific containers. They were equipped with interactive installations offering information on two levels, therefore inviting the visitor to be part of the research experience.
