The Real Airdrop

Since boxes with items are dropped from planes during Free Fire battles, AKQA made real planes drop virtual items into people's phones. When a plane is flying by, people can point their phone up to the sky to collect an airdrop that will go straight to their in-game wallet. To make this possible, AQKA created a web app that combined real flight data with users' phone geolocation in real-time, turning real planes into a trigger to unlock the experience.
