Superlight Aircraft Seat

Designed for short-haul single aisle aircraft, the Superlight is the lightest airline seat in its class. The design is motivated by reduction and simplicity, using as few parts as possible. It reveals the qualities of the materials rather than hiding them. Machined details such as the armrest are declared, resulting in an honest simplicity of form, while the considered ergonomics make the seat extremely comfortable. The backrest creates more legroom by transferring unused space to the passenger behind and, with fewer than sixty parts per triple, the modular construction allows any component to be replaced in under two minutes.
