Sukima
Sukima
SUKIMA is an ongoing art project exploring overlooked, underutilized spaces of culture. Through ceramics, digital worlds, and folklore, it bridges the tangible and intangible. The project features two series: Masks, which translate 18th-century Kabuki theater woodblock prints into ceramic sculptures; and Darumas, which reinterpret traditional Japanese figures bound to specific places. Each physical sculpture exists in an interactive 3D web experience with physics simulation, creating pathways for cultural engagement that honor tradition while enabling contemporary interpretation.
