Sanlian Humanistic Vernacular Season 2025

The 2nd Sanlian Humanities Vernacular Season is themed “Everyday Landscape” and takes place in Songyang, a historic town in Zhejiang with a cultural lineage spanning over a thousand years. Mountains, streams, and terraced fields form its everyday scenery. Visually, we continue the first edition’s focus on paper, using moss as a key motif. By applying flocking onto paper, we translate the tactile warmth of the “everyday landscape,” and through material texture and an observational approach to image-making, the project rearticulates a growing Jiangnan cultural lineage.
