Plan (a)

In South Africa, people's homes in underprivileged communities are being demolished by local governments because they're unapproved by the council. Legislation states that approval is only granted if planned by a registered professional – a cost far out of reach for poorer communities, who typically have to build homes themselves. AfriSam's press ads were turned into architectural plans for low-cost homes, which can be physically submitted for council approval and built by a builder – legally. The ads had a real-world utility that helps build a nation by helping a nation build.
