Beyond Binary Code

Beyond Binary Code raises awareness about inequality online, and creates a path for change that can be adopted by an entire country. If a form asks for someone’s gender, and there are only two choices – male and female – then trans and non-binary people are often forced to misrepresent themselves online. Beyond Binary Code rewrites the internet to see more than two genders. Co-created with rainbow mental health organisations and trans and non-binary communities, it’s a single piece of code that can be added to any website to make data forms and fields gender inclusive.
