Park Walk Primary School

Our brief was to propose and develop a graphic language to inhabit the reception, atrium, corridors, lift entrances and lift shaft, giving the school a distinctive visual language in line with its desire to inspire pupils as well as educate them. All the animals are as close as possible to actual size, giving the children a sense of scale. The overlapping outline is a visual game: where do the animals start and finish? The black and white pictogram style allowed the animals to be produced and applied relatively inexpensively, maximising the available budget.
