Otl Aicher 100th Birthday Stamp
Otl Aicher 100th Birthday Stamp
Graphic designer Otl Aicher was against any kind of exaggeration, and wasn’t interested in styles. Instead, he stood for clarity and practicality. The design concept for the stamp celebrating his 100th birthday grew out of his way of working and thinking. Visually, the design reflects his work for the 1972 Summer Olympic Games, held in Munich, and in particular his cover of the visual design guidelines manual for that year’s event.
