Irma Boom: Biography in Books

‘Irma Boom: Biography in Books – Books in reverse chronological order, 2010–1986, with comments here and there’ is a miniature book measuring only 50 x 38 mm. It provides an overview of book designer Irma Boom’s career through more than 450 full colour illustrations across 704 pages. The book was designed by Boom herself for her retrospective exhibition at the Special Collections of the University of Amsterdam Library. Boom creates tiny models of all her books as part of the design process. This inspired the size of this miniature catalogue.
