Hyro

With 40% of UK arable soils degraded and the 2025 harvest the second worst on record, the need for effective soil additives has never been more urgent. Hyro is a biodegradable solution designed to address soil degradation and build climate resilience, without leaving a trace. Made from a stabilised biochar core encased in a biopolymer matrix, it absorbs up to 400× its weight in water, releasing it slowly under drought stress to protect crops at the root zone. As it biodegrades, it deposits carbon permanently into the soil, turning soil restoration into a circular act.
