Head Above Water

Through the Head Above Water film, Working for Women (WFW) brought visibility to the hidden struggles of ALICE (asset-limited, income-constrained, employed) women and reframed financial insecurity as a health issue. Inspired by real women’s stories, the animated short follows one working mother’s fight to stay afloat, until access to career training, opportunities, and community support helps her break the cycle and move forward. Head Above Water gave WFW a more powerful way to engage investors and corporate HR partners, and is opening the door to new workforce-training partnerships.
