Gender Gaps

In 2021, the year of the German federal elections, Gender Gaps was created to illustrate just how deep the gaps between women and men still are, where they arise and what we can do about them. The concept relied on making these gender gaps audible and dramatising them with an invisible mechanic. A woman and a man simultaneously tell us about their lives. They are unison to begin with, but deviations soon appear and get bigger until they drift apart completely, both in content and sound. Minimal staging helped to bring hard truths to the forefront.
