Gegen Den Tod Couture

When it comes to organ donation, Germany still has an opt-in regulation, and has low donor numbers as a result. Opt-in means to become a donor, a person needs to sign a letter of consent or obtain a Donation ID card and, unlike in many other countries, this contract has to be represented physically. However, the law doesn’t specifically say paper. So BBDO Group Germany helped to create the first wearable Organ Donation IDs. It used fashion to brought attention to the topic and turned more people into donors. Already, the initiative has potentially saved as many as 23,000 lives, and talks with major nationwide fashion retailers are also underway.
