Gatwick Airport – London Square

Studio Coward created a design for Gatwick Airport that depicts London and its many iconic landmarks from a pilot's-eye view. The detailed pattern is used throughout this bespoke airport gate. The ‘London Square’ illustration has been translated into a wool rich double cloth construction, to maximise the intricacy of the pattern. Careful consideration has been given to the scale and durability of the fabric, based on its utility as high traffic upholstery. A variety of weave textures have been used to differentiate between the tones used in the artwork.
