Food For Thought

Food production is the leading cause of global deforestation. WWF UK wanted to tell MPs how each year, giant forests are being burned to grow crops – killing wildlife and accelerating climate change. These crops end up in our meals. The sandwich mailer was sent to MPs, to give them some real food for thought about the urgent need for deforestation-free food. MPs posed with it, showing their support on social, and it fuelled discussions in Parliament. In November 2020 legislation was passed in the Environment Bill, banning UK businesses from sourcing foods that cause deforestation.
