The Story of O.J.

Jay-Z's music video draws on the stylistic conventions of the 30s and 40s to illustrate the prejudices and stereotypes of the era. Using a combination of hand-drawn cel animation, computer graphics and CG backgrounds rendered in 2D, the controversial cartoons were replicated in six weeks. To beat the tight schedule the directors worked in real time, while the artists made revisions on the go.
