As part of the Pepsi Max Unbelievable campaign, AMV BBDO wanted to bring an unbelievable experience to people's daily lives. Their novel solution was an augmented reality bus shelter on London's New Oxford Street. A live high-definition feed gave commuters the illusion of a clear window onto the street. What seemed like an average day suddenly took a turn when the 3D animations were mapped over the environment. Alien abductions, apocalyptic robot attacks, falling meteorites and rogue tigers were just some of the surprises unsuspecting commuters bored witness to. To make the incredible sights even more realistic, a sensor adjusted the animations to match varying light conditions.
