Mind the Map
Mind the Map
In May 2014, Norway celebrated the 200th anniversary of its constitution. Mind the Map was an exhibition at the Punkt Ø gallery that combined historical maps with contemporary artworks in commemoration of the date. In keeping with the theme of the exhibition, Mind the Map's physical format was designed as a small guide complete with a fold-out map, with a colour scheme inspired by that of the Norwegian flag. Raster effects, icons and horizontal and vertical text refer to the layout and design of maps. And a classical serif was used in combination with a very modern sans-serif, highlighting a sense of time and perspective.
