City of Wine

The winegrower Johannes Gruber is from the Austrian city of Mittelberg. He wanted to develop a design that would celebrate the specific character of his hometown alongside the unique identity of his wines. With this in mind, he became the architect for a city of wine, pairing Mittelberg’s landmarks – from the old church on Grüner Veltliner Square to the picturesque inn on Germischter Satz street – with a wine that reflects each building’s significance, creating an engaging connection between the product and the place.
