The Conspiracy Theory

The conspiracy theory that our world leaders are shape-shifting lizards is well known. I decided to use the iconic image of the Queen as an embodiment of Britain. The unveiling of the lizard represents the underlying theme of this series – digging beneath the surface to uncover the truth of British contemporary culture and question viewers' perceptions of modern society. The target audience and tone of VICE allowed me to push the boundaries within the project and also test the potential of my visual language.
