Blend of the World (As We Know It)

I wanted to compose a collage of British identity without relying on flashy post production to bring it together. I decided a blender could work as a physical framing device, and a pokey cloud-lit London kitchen hinted at the flavour of modern British life. In my choice of objects I tried to avoid souvenir cliche, but find things that had a hint of the wry dilapidated grandeur that hangs over the UK today. Ultimately I felt my entry should be cheeky and warm, as these are the most pervasive and enduring qualities I find across British society.
