Showing the degradation of British society by demonstrating iconic deck chairs on Brighton beach – an idyllic scene, which is juxtaposed with the decayed carcass of the West Pier. The anthemic Rule Britannia melody made for an obvious choice however we enhanced the sound byte with echo and distortion to reflect national doubt in the idea of Britishness.
