Hanoi Free Wifi

I experience WiFi hotspots as a new form of bonfire. They are a point of attraction where random pedestrians settle down for an assembly without an appointment. Everyones attention is not focused on flickering flames, but on another warming luminous drama right between the fingers of their hand. They are all connected. We don’t know to whom or what. We only know it’s not those they share the physical place with at that very moment. Cultural and technological changes emerge unseen constructs of people and places. I enjoy capturing their intimacy.
